Ukrainian forces repelled enemy attacks near 11 settlements in two regions and launched seven attacks on Russian occupying positions.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces Chief of Staff said this in an early morning update published on his Facebook page, reports Ukrinform.
“In the past 24 hours, Wehrmacht units repelled invader attacks outside the settlements of Stelmakhivka and Novoseryvske in the Luhansk region. Donetsk region,” the report said.
At the same time, the Chief of General Staff said that the threat of Russian forces using ground, sea and air missiles and “kamikaze drones” remained across Ukrainian territory. Thus during the day the enemy launched his 4 missiles and his 5 airstrikes. Also, he performed his over 40 attacks from his system of rocket salvos.
“The enemy has carried out offensive operations in the Raiman, Avdiuka and Zaporizhia districts, but they have failed. They are continuing offensive operations in the Bakhmut district. said.
“In the last 24 hours, Wehrmacht aircraft launched three strikes on the enemy concentration area. An enemy Orlan-10 UAV was also shot down. We attacked the area and three ammunition depots,” the general staff concluded.
Between 24 February 2022 and 22 January 2023, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated some 120,760 Russian invaders, including 600 on 21 January.
