Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmykhal said Ukraine expects the adoption of a priority action plan to strengthen the implementation of the Free Trade Area Agreement between Ukraine and the EU in 2023-2024.
“Based on the outcome of the Summit, significant progress is expected on the issue of approaches to the EU internal market. We are discussing adoption – 2024,” he said at a joint meeting of the Ukrainian government and the European Commission in Kyiv on Thursday.
The Prime Minister also said Ukraine expects an extension of EU regulations on liberalizing transport.
Furthermore, the head of government stressed that the internal market regime should be introduced before the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s EU membership.
Shmyhal also noted the priority of Ukraine’s early accession to the EU’s roaming space and the introduction of an “industrial visa-free regime”.
