The Samajadi Party on Sunday proclaimed a national cadre of 62 members, with Akilesh Yadav as national president and his uncle Shivpal Yadav as general secretary.

Swami Prasad Maurya recently sparked controversy over his remarks Ramcharitmanasand veteran leader Azam Khan are also among the 14 State Secretary-Generals.
Shivpal and Akilesh’s uncle-nephew duo, who parted ways in 2016, met during the Main Puri Lok parliamentary by-election last December following the death of Samajaddy party founder Murayam Singh Yadav.
SP announced on Sunday a list of 62 national executive members on its Twitter handle.
In 2016, Shivpal Yadav, then head of the SP’s Uttar Pradesh branch, was dismissed from the Uttar Pradesh cabinet following an open feud with then-Prime Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
Sidelined within the party, Shivpal Yadav formed the Pragatisheer Samajawadi Party (Lohia) in 2018 to rival his nephew Akshay Yadav from Firozabad.
After their show of unity at Main Prix, there was speculation that he might be officially rehabilitated at the party.
A former minister in Yogi Adityanath’s government, Maurya switched from the Bharatiya Janata Party to SP ahead of the 2022 Uttar Pradesh legislative elections, losing the seat to Fazirnagar.
Other Secretary Generals of State are Ravi Prakash Verma, Balam Yadav, Vishwanbal Prasad Nishad, Awadesh Prasad, Indrajit Saroy, Ramjilal Suman, Lalji Verma, Ram Achar Rajvar, J. Anthony, Harendra Malik and Neeraj Chowdhury.
Mr. Akhilesh Yadav will continue to hold the position of National President, Mr. Kiranmoy Nanda will continue to serve as National Vice-President and Mr. Ram Gopal Yadav will continue to serve as President Secretary-General.
Sudip Ranjan Sen will serve as party treasurer, and 19 secretaries of state will attend, including Madhu Gupta, Kamal Akhtar, Rajendra Chowdhury, Rajiv Rai and Abhishek Mishra.
Jaya Bachchan, Abu Asim Azmi, Ram Govind Chowdhury, Pawan Pandey, Lilawati Kushwaha, Ujjwal Raman Singh, Akshay Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav and Raj Kumar Mishra are national senior members of the party.
