redwood city, california–(business wire)–C3 AI (NYSE: AI), an enterprise AI applications software company, today announced that Sir Gordon Messenger of the Royal Marine Corps, KCB DSO* OBE, has joined its Advisory Board. General Messenger recently retired and from 2016 until 2019 he served as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Defense Staff of the British Armed Forces.
Since enlisting in the Royal Marines in 1983, General Messenger has led numerous operations, including deployments to Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq. From 2010 until 2012 he served as Chief of Staff (Operations) of the Permanent Joint Headquarters, overseeing the conduct and capabilities of British operations overseas. In 2013, he was appointed deputy commander of NATO’s Allied Ground Command in Izmir, Turkey, and in 2014 he was appointed deputy chief of defense staff, military strategy and operations.
