Video of Paul Pelosi attack released
Over the objections of prosecutors, a judge ruled that footage of Nancy Pelosi’s attack on her husband can be released. After the prosecutor aired the footage in open court, he decided there was no reason to keep the footage secret.
Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, was sleeping at the couple’s San Francisco home on Oct. 28 when someone broke in and hit him with a hammer. Prosecutors have indicted his 42-year-old David DePape in connection with the attack.
DePape pleaded not guilty to six counts last month, including attempted murder. According to police, DePape said he intended to harm Nancy Pelosi because there is “evil in Washington” and Nancy Pelosi is second only to the president.

Battle to lead the RNC
The three candidates who will lead the Republican National Committee are all supporters of former President Donald Trump, but are discussing candidate recruitment and voting efforts.
RNC chairman Ronna McDaniel is seeking a fourth term, but faces opposition from California attorney Hermit Dillon and MyPillow founder Mike Lindell. McDaniel is confident of her victory, but her opponent roams the halls of a beach resort in Dana Point, California, begging for assistance.
“We will decide if you are serious about winning in 2024,” Dillon tweeted this week. We also discuss procedures.
Biden Highlights Virginia Economy in Debt Ceiling War
President Joe Biden is expected to travel to Springfield, Virginia, on Thursday to discuss progress the administration is making to strengthen the economy.
Biden is visiting Steamfitters Local 602 Union Hall. His afternoon remarks follow the release of GDP figures for the fourth quarter of 2022. The White House has warned of catastrophe if House Republicans refuse to raise the debt ceiling.
Failure to act will lead to the first default in national history. Biden says it will lead to “a calamity beyond anything that has ever occurred in the history of the United States.”
