One gate has been opened to release water at the Binga dam in Itogon, Benguet, as recent monsoon rains have pushed water levels up in reservoirs, PAGASA said Monday.
The gate was open at 0.30 meters as of 6:00 am, data from the PAGASA Flood Forecasting and Warning System for Dam Operations indicated.
The water level (RWL) in the Binga Dam Reservoir was 574.44 meters at 6:00 am, just below the outflow water level or normal high water level (NHWL) of 575 meters.
PAGASA has warned residents of Barangay Dalupirip and Tinongdan in Itogon, Benguet province that their areas may be affected by water runoff.
