Ottawa, Ontario, January 23, 2023 /CNW/ – Governor-General Mary Simon CanadaI’ll present Canada’s Top Architecture and Landscape Architecture pay tribute to outstanding Canadians in a ceremony held at Rideau Hall.
The Governor’s Medal of Architecture and Landscape Architecture recognizes impressive projects and individuals across the country. The 13 projects range from the Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Center. Vancouverto rainwater facility Toronto, the pavilion of the Assemblée nationale du Québec. Another of his award winners, The Idea Exchange, is an 1885 post office converted into an open studio space accessible to people of all ages.
The 2022 Landscape Architecture Governor’s Medal honors his extraordinary achievements. Ronald F. Williamswho has had a major national impact in this field.

The Governor’s Medal in Architecture and Landscaping is awarded in partnership with three organizations: Canada, Canadian Association of Landscape Architects, Canadian Arts Council. The day before the Rideau Hall event, the public will be invited to speak at the Historical Museum, where the winners will discuss their award-winning designs. Many incorporate environmental sustainability innovations.
