Trade officials said talks are underway for a free trade agreement (FTA) with India, Asia’s second largest economy, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Assistant Secretary of Trade Alan Gepti told reporters last week that talks with representatives from both countries have begun and preparations for next steps are underway.
“For India, our goal is a preferential trade agreement. said on the sidelines at the Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Outlook Forum.
“In the UAE, we have basically just launched [the manifestation], intends to undertake a comprehensive economic partnership agreement,” he added.inquiry
