On Wednesday, February 9, 2023, The Walt Disney Company will discuss the first quarter of its 2023 financial results. At that time, Bob Iger will again be his CEO by phone. Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek was on the final financial conference call that The Walt Disney Company made. The call didn’t go well and within a few weeks Chapek was out of business and Iger was back.
Quarterly results will be announced at the close of regular trading on February 8, 2023. The earnings call will be a live audio webcast at 4:30 p.m./1:30 p.m. ET. The webcast can be heard at www.disney.com/investors.
This call will undoubtedly be listened to by both the financial industry and the Disney community, as we look to see what Iger has done since returning to CEO and where he’s leading the company. It also comes at a time when many questions are being asked about the best financial model for streaming, struggling stocks in the entertainment industry, and succession plans for Disney’s CEO.
