Prime Minister Basavaraj Bommai continued his attack on opposition leader Siddaramaiah, who said parliamentarians had cut off Lokayukta’s wings, founded the ACB when he was prime minister, and buried all corruption cases against him and his party. .
Speaking at the Jana Sankalpa Yatre rally in Hirekerur on Wednesday, Mr Bommai said the government will hand over to Lokayukta all 59 corruption cases registered during parliamentary administration.
“The Siddharamaiah government (2013-18) was mired in corruption and nepotism. They spared no children’s beds and pillows. A minor irrigation department official was involved in bill fraud. Corruption was rampant in the BDA, Energy, and some other departments, Bommai prosecuted.
“Siddharamaiah continued to claim that he gave a pro-people government. But what happened to the parliament in the 2018 elections? It will be devastated,” said Bommai.
“Siddaramaiah made false claims about the Anna Bhagya scheme. He claimed the promotion of rice supplied by the center. Why did they reduce the amount of rice?Planning from 7kg to 4kg when in power? Did you?” the prime minister wanted to know.
