CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Friday that next week’s earnings reports will be key to determining market performance.
Stocks rose Friday after December’s jobs report and economic readings, showing the Federal Reserve is making headway in its fight against inflation. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 hit their highest since November 30th, and the Nasdaq Composite hits its highest since December 29th.

“Those macro numbers have been good for the market, but when we actually get the earnings reports, it becomes a sideshow, which will happen next weekend,” he said.
Cramer added that he will also be keeping an eye on next week’s December CPI report.
“If the CPI is lower than expected, there will be better days, if not better than today,” he said.
